Prints
Printmaking is my passion and my favorite outlet for self-expression. I fell in love with making prints during my time at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia. One of the reasons I sought out umano for an internship was the fact that they did screen printing in house. I split my time there between design work in the office, and screen printing in the company warehouse. This experience gave me the knowledge and skills needed to produce my own prints at the commercial level.
My favorite mediums for printing are screen prints, woodcuts, and letterpress. My work explores color, texture, layering, and mono print techniques for variable editions. My main subject matter is self expression using animal symbolism, color theory, and mark making.
